Description: The Phoenix Park is one of the largest and most magnificent city parks in Europe at 707 hectares. It is an historic landscape of international importance and one of the largest designed landscapes in any European city. A herd of Fallow Deer has lived in the Park since the 1660's when they were introduced by the Duke of Ormond. Áras an Uachtaráin, the residence of the President of Ireland dates from 1750 and is located in the centre of the park adjacent to the United States Ambassador's residence, which was built in 1774. Many other historic buildings and monuments are located in the Park. Dublin Zoo is also contained within the grounds of the park!

Description: Killiney is south of the city and is a small village stretching from the beach to the stunning views of Killiney Hill Park. There are quite spectacular views from the park, over the city, the bay, and Dublin and Wicklow mountains. Killiney Bay is said to resemble the Bay of Naples. Its highest point, at the obelisk is 170m above sea level. The steepest slopes are on the Eastern side, embracing the curve of Killiney Bay. The perfect location for a leisurely stroll to relax.

Description: The War Memorial Gardens cover an area of c8ha on the southern slopes of the Liffey opposite the Magazine Fort in the Phoenix Park.
